The Disestablishment of Nick Lowles and Hope NOT Hate

Many of you reading this will be aware of a character named Nick Lowles from Hope NOT Hate (hereafter HnH), but the deeper I have dug into him, the worse I have seen.

But let’s look beyond that, as such is spectating. We don’t have time to be milling about, awaiting the next chess moves from Lowles, waiting to react. Well, what should be done?

What would Nick Lowles do? Lowles would act. Lowles has a deep history in British politics, back to the 90s when it comes to Searchlight and later HnH, but further back if you include his activism during his uni-days. However it’s an improperly supported mineshaft; no wooden beams and proper techniques. He was once much sloppier, but has since learned from his past mistakes and has made his network much more solid, or at least it would appear that way.

The truth is that he employs (or harnesses) people with strange backgrounds, even in some cases cloning himself into multiple pseudonyms and holding long running conversations with himself through different columns, often self-published. This is strange behaviour and speaks to a particular gusto and drive, a desire to destroy something, driven by existential fear, for what madman would pursue it otherwise?

So my proposal is this, to lean into Lowles as much as legally permissible. There are skeletons in his many closets. There are three main categories for where to aim efforts: Personal, Interpersonal, and Professional.

For instance, earlier I proposed an observation of how he acts, which in my view is a deep paranoia. He really thinks someone is out to get him. Why not make it conceptually true? Perhaps it plays with his heritage; I do not know, but perhaps his ancestors had to endure acid filled swimming pools, being torn apart by bears, or sealed in wooden-doored “showers” and survive multiple gassings. I do not know, nor do I even question such horrors. I am simply directing my energy towards the malevolent force known as Nick Lowles.

In any case, he is also relentless, which can be seen as a virtue in many circumstances, but when let loose without restraint it can become pathologically destructive. Is Nick all right? He must have some ins with the government in the UK because he gets funding from them while simultaneously attacking them. It’s a conundrum. Like Chelsea funding Man City it doesn’t make any sense. Who does Nick know? I don’t mean the known bodies in HnH, but in official state networks and bureaucratic systems? He must know many. You all know how long the lines are in the NHS, and it is as if, unlike us, he gets a special privilege to the front of the queue. Who does he know? Who in the government is enabling him? What are their names, addresses, phone numbers? How can they be contacted and convinced to stop their support?

What else remains then is the professional angle. What are his claimed credentials? With what groups is he associated? Activists do not work alone in most cases and this is certainly the case with Nick. I have written an expose about his past dealings. He has worked for Searchlight Magazine, which aimed to attack anything right of your Nan, including your Nan. But there is far more. I don’t want to go too long in the tooth here, but you hopefully will get the picture. 

To summarize this, we can within a realm of sufficient accuracy state that Nick is paranoid, relentless, ruthless, interconnected with the state apparatus, Machiavellian, rooted, and funded. That was one simple assessment coming from a Canadian across the sea, of all people. Imagine what else can be dug up, one piece at a time, like an archeological dig. Man the shovels and picks, lads. There be gold in them hills.
